Location and Classification
Schloßgarten is a legally recorded single vineyard in Kirchheimbolanden and is assigned to the wine-growing region Pfalz. It belongs to the Großlage Schnepfenflug of the Zellertal.
Historic Terraced Garden
The wine site is incorporated into the historic Schlossgarten in the centre of Kirchheimbolanden. It occupies part of a historic terraced garden area that has been used for viticulture in recent decades. Beneath the cultivated surface, baroque terraced structures have been preserved. The baroque garden was created in the 18th century for the Nassau-Weilburg residence in Kirchheimbolanden.
Cultivation and Grape Varieties
The integrated vineyards are farmed by the winery BoudierKoeller in Stetten. For a wine from the Schloßgarten, Riesling is documented; a vintage from 2014 was produced as a dry Riesling. Since 2014, traditional Champagne grape varieties have also been cultivated there, without the individual varieties being named in more detail.
