Schloß Thorner Kupp is located in the cadastral district of Kreuzweiler in Palzem, Germany. The vineyard site is listed as a single vineyard (Einzellage) in the winegrowing region Mosel, Obermosel area, Großlage Gipfel. The official vineyard register key is 420106.
Vineyard area and soils
For the 2024 harvest, the vineyard register records a planted vineyard area of 24.3 hectares. In the Kreuzweiler vineyards, from which Sektgut Klein sources grapes from among others Schloß Thorner Kupp, Muschelkalk soils are described.
Grape varieties and use
Winery Boesen documents the cultivation of Sauvignon Blanc in Schloß Thorner Kupp. Grapes from the site are also used for Crémant production at Sektgut Klein, which takes place there at its own operating premises.
