Location and Landscape
Rosengarten is a designated wine-growing site south of the town of Kapellen-Drusweiler in the wine-growing region Pfalz. The wine-growing site comprises vineyard hills, from which the view extends to the Palatinate Forest.
Wine-Law Classification
Rosengarten is listed as a single site within the area of the Southern Wine Route and in the grand cru Kloster Liebfrauenberg within the protected wine-growing region of Pfalz.
Roses in the Vineyard
Along the vine rows, more than 400 rose bushes are tended. The roses recall their historical role as early-warning plants, as they were considered more susceptible to powdery mildew than the vines.
