Location
The Römerhang is a named vineyard site in Kinheim. It is located in the Kindel district on the right-hand side of the Moselle and is assigned to the Kinheim wine sites listing in Rhineland-Palatinate.
Topography and cultivation
The site extends over and around the built-up area of Kindel. Its slopes face north to north-east and have a moderate gradient, which is described as suitable for mechanised cultivation.
Grape varieties and wine style
At the Römerhang, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Chardonnay and Cabernet Blanc are grown. For the flatter vineyards behind Kindel, Kerner and Dornfelder are also mentioned as early- or medium-ripening grape varieties. The Römerhang wines produced from Müller-Thurgau by the Ames winery are described as fruity.
