Location and Classification
Ortelberg is a designated single vineyard site in the cadastral district of Böbingen in Rhineland-Palatinate. It belongs to the Großlage Trappenberg in the Southern Wine Route (Südliche Weinstraße) area of the wine-growing region Pfalz.
Vineyard Area
As of 15 October 2024, 23.7 hectares of planted vineyard area were officially recorded for Ortelberg.
Documented Wines
A producer price list from March 2017 lists wines from the Böbingen Ortelberg made from Regent and Cabernet Mitos. The Regent was described as being semi-dry with a slight berry aroma. The Cabernet Mitos matured in barrique casks.
