Location and classification
Kroneberg is a designated wine-growing site in Bullay on the Mosel in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The designation Kroneberg (Bullay) has been recorded in the official viticulture geodata system of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Historical designation
As part of the land consolidation (Flurbereinigung) of the Bullay vineyards, which was completed between 1990 and 1996 in several sections, numerous local vineyard names were reduced to four designations. This includes Kronenberg, a local spelling variant of Kroneberg.
Area and wine
A local inventory recorded Bullay Kronenberg with approximately 3.5 hectares. Historical trade directories also document Riesling Spätlese that was bottled under the designation Bullayer Kronenberg.
