Location and classification
Hochgericht is a legally registered single-vineyard site in the wine-growing region Pfalz, in the area of Mittelhaardt/Deutsche Weinstraße and the Großlage Grafenstück. The site belongs to the municipality of Obrigheim (Pfalz).
Area
The registered plots are located in the cadastral areas of Albsheim/Eis and Mühlheim. The Vineyard Register 2024 lists 8.5 hectares of planted vineyard area in Albsheim/Eis and 37.8 hectares in Mühlheim. In total, the registered planted area comprises 46.3 hectares.
Documented wines
For Mühlheimer Hochgericht, wines made from Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Dorsa and Spätburgunder are documented. These include a sweet Gewürztraminer as a white wine, a dry Cabernet Dorsa as a red wine, and dry Spätburgunder Blanc de Noir. A documented Gewürztraminer from Mühlheimer Hochgericht was fermented or matured in a stainless-steel tank.
