Location and context
The Herrenberg is a vineyard site in the Kövenig district, which is connected with Kröv in the wine-growing region Mosel. It belongs to the individual vineyard sites of the Kröver Nacktarsch group.
Topography and soil
The vineyard site covers about 20 hectares and lies on a steep slate slope. It is oriented east-northeast and has weathered Devon slate soil.
Grape variety and history
In the Herrenberg, Riesling is documented as the grape variety. Wine from the Herrenberg vineyards was historically supplied as a tithe wine.
