Location and classification
Haßmannsberg is a registered single-vineyard site in Bockenheim an der Weinstraße, in the cadastral district of Kleinbockenheim. The wine-growing site belongs to the wine-growing region Pfalz, to the area Mittelhaardt/Deutsche Weinstraße, and to the large site Grafenstück.
Area and landscape
In the 2024 wine site directory, Haßmannsberg in Kleinbockenheim is listed as having 7.6 hectares of planted vineyard area. The site is located on a hilltop. Uncultivated strips with bush vegetation shape the knolls.
Soil and former use
Haßmannsberg is described as a limestone site with a stony soil. In addition, a former quarry belongs to the site.
Variety and vinification
Chardonnay is grown at Haßmannsberg. For a dry Chardonnay from the site, hand-picked grapes are gently pressed, fermented in new barrique barrels, and matured in barrique.
