Grub is the single vineyard Delkenheimer Grub in Delkenheim, a district of Wiesbaden, in the wine-growing region Rheingau. It is designated as an officially recognised single vineyard and is assigned to the Großlage Hochheimer Daubhaus.
Area and History
The currently planted area of the site is 1.6 hectares. In Delkenheim, viticulture has been documented since the year 1290.
Soils and Grape Varieties
For Delkenheimer Grub, sandy gravel and calcareous loam are described. Documented wines from the site include Pinot Blanc and Blue Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder).
Documented Wine Styles
From Delkenheimer Grub, dry Pinot Blanc Qualitätswein b.A., mild Blue Pinot Noir Weißherbst Auslese and dry Pinot Blanc Sekt b.A. have been documented.
