Niederfeller Goldlay
Goldlay is a named vineyard site in Niederfell on the Mosel. The municipality designates it as Niederfeller Goldlay. The site is entered in the vineyard directory of Rhineland-Palatinate for the 2024 vintage as an official vineyard name.
Viticultural classification
Niederfell, including Niederfeller Goldlay, belongs to the protected winegrowing region of Mosel and to the Burg Cochem area. The vineyards are farmed by local winegrowing businesses.
Grape varieties and wine
Niederfeller Goldlay is associated, among others, with Winzerhof Künster and the Weingut Löhr. At Winzerhof Künster, Riesling, Weissburgunder, Kerner, Spätburgunder and Regent are cultivated. The Weingut Löhr also farms the site; for the aggregated vineyard area, in addition to predominantly Riesling, Chardonnay, Weissburgunder, Spätburgunder, Müller-Thurgau and Dornfelder are listed.
