Goldgrübchen in Mesenich
Goldgrübchen is a vineyard site in Mesenich in the German winegrowing region Mosel. The Mesenich vineyard sites belong to the large site Rosenhang.
Site and soil
The vineyard site is characterised by steep slopes facing south-west. The soil has a comparatively high proportion of quartzite; the further geology of this section of the Mosel also includes slate and greywacke.
Wines
Riesling is produced from Mesenich Goldgrübchen. Documented are Riesling quality wines in dry, off-dry and medium-sweet styles, as well as a noble-sweet Riesling Auslese.
