Location and classification
Goldgrube is a legally registered single vineyard in the Großbockenheim district of Bockenheim an der Weinstraße in the Pfalz. The site belongs to the Mittelhaardt/Deutsche Weinstraße area and to the Großlage Grafenstück.

In the 2024 vineyard directory, Goldgrube is listed with 11.0 hectares of planted vineyard area and the vineyard number 820206. For a wine from the Bockenheim Goldgrube, the soil is described as stony limestone marl.
Grape varieties and wine styles
Documented single-vineyard wines from Goldgrube include, among others, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Dry Riesling Spätlese, dry Cabernet Sauvignon as a German Quality Wine and a sweet Chardonnay Auslese as a German Prädikatswein are evidenced.
Cultivation and vinification
The Wöhrle winery cultivates its Bockenheim vineyards including Goldgrube organically and describes the sites there as calcareous. For the Goldgrube Riesling Grosser Durst, one year of ageing in stainless steel, no fining and minimal filtration are stated.
