Grape varieties and wine styles

Documented single-vineyard wines from Goldgrube include, among others, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Dry Riesling Spätlese, dry Cabernet Sauvignon as a German Quality Wine and a sweet Chardonnay Auslese as a German Prädikatswein are evidenced.

Cultivation and vinification

The Wöhrle winery cultivates its Bockenheim vineyards including Goldgrube organically and describes the sites there as calcareous. For the Goldgrube Riesling Grosser Durst, one year of ageing in stainless steel, no fining and minimal filtration are stated.
