Domherrenberg

Location and classification

The Domherrenberg is a legally registered single vineyard site in Trier, in the cadastral district of Kürenz, in the wine-growing region Mosel. In the official register of vineyard sites, it is listed under number 411227 and is assigned to the Bernkastel area as well as the Großlage Römerlay.

Legal demarcation

Since the 2019 vintage, the legally defined single vineyard site comprises vineyard parcels in plots 6 and 7 of the cadastral district of Kürenz. Previously, the area extended over Kürenz and Ruwer-Maximin. The planting area is stated in the 2024 register as „k.A.“; this abbreviation stands there for the sole ownership of a wine-growing business.

Archaeological findings

The upper part of the vineyard is described in an archaeological report as having been abandoned. Ceramic fragments from the Roman period were found there.
