Location and categorisation
Arzlay is a single-vineyard site in Cochem-Cond on the Mosel. The winegrowing area lies within the town limits of Cochem and covers around 15 hectares.
Topography and soils
The vineyards are predominantly west-facing and include steep slopes. The soil is described as stony, weathered quartzite and greywacke.
Wine style
Grapes from Arzlay are processed into wines that ripen early and are described as floral and full-bodied. The designation Cochemer Arzlay is recognised as an approved Cochem single-vineyard name.
