Location and soil
At Gutenberg, there is an old Gewann in Deidesheim on the edge of the Haardt. The vineyard site slopes gently towards the south-east. The documented soil consists of sandstone and gravel, interspersed with calcareous loess.
Grape varieties
At Am Gutenberg, a selection of Burgundian Pinot grape varieties has been planted.
Documented wine
The documented wine Am Gutenberg is a dry red Pinot Noir, from Spätburgunder. It is described with aromas and impressions of flavour of sour cherry, redcurrant, thyme, black olive and fine wood. A pronounced acidity and a long finish characterise the wine.
The 2022 vintage is classified as VDP.Gutswein and Qualitätswein and is declared as dry.
