Location and classification
Altes Löhl is a legally registered single vineyard in the wine-growing region Pfalz. It belongs to the area of Südliche Weinstraße and to the Großlage Königsgarten. The site is assigned to the town of Landau in der Pfalz.

The Vineyard Register 2024 lists Altes Löhl in the cadastral districts of Landau, Mörlheim and Queichheim. The areas cover 74.9 hectares in Landau, 10.3 hectares in Mörlheim and 25.8 hectares in Queichheim.
Documented historical and legal evidence
The name Altes Löhl is documented in a publication of the EU Official Journal dated 30 April 2002 and in a publication dated 24 August 2006 on Palatinate single-vineyard names. The single vineyard is assigned to the protected designation of origin system Pfalz; Königsgarten is the associated Großlage.
Documented wines
The Gebrüder Anselmann winery supplies grapes from Landau’s Altes Löhl. Documented are Riesling, Ortega and Grauburgunder: a Riesling from the 2018 vintage was made as a noble-sweet ice wine with 8.0% alcohol by volume, an Ortega from the 2015 vintage as Trockenbeerenauslese and a Grauburgunder from the 2018 vintage as Auslese.
