Oberotterbach is a municipality in the district of Südliche Weinstraße in Rhineland-Palatinate and belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde of Bad Bergzabern. The place lies directly on the German Wine Route and offers views over the vineyards towards the Rhine plain.

History
The oldest known documentary mention of Oberotterbach dates from the year 992. At that time, Emperor Otto III granted possessions, including Oberotterbach, to Selz Abbey in Alsace.
